Youth Opportunities
Youth Opportunities’ vision is a world where all young people have the opportunity to be their best. Recognising that not all young people have access to the same resources and support, Youth Opportunities works to bridge this gap. Through their prevention and early intervention programs, they empower young people to build resilience, wellbeing, and personal leadership skills.
While these programs are valuable to all young people, Youth Opportunities is committed to raising funds to provide them free of charge to the most marginalised youth, creating equity in opportunities for all.
Since 2017, the Audi Foundation has proudly partnered with Youth Opportunities to help them deliver their transformative programs. Central to their work is the Personal Leadership Program, a 10-week initiative for high school students that includes two years of follow-up support. This program equips young people with the tools they need to succeed and offers wraparound services, including resources for parents and educators and scholarships to remove financial barriers for graduates pursuing academic or career goals.
Grounded in positive psychology and cognitive therapy, Youth Opportunities’ programs foster emotional intelligence and resilience. The impact is profound, with participants consistently reporting:
Improved relationships with teachers, parents, and peers
Increased motivation towards school
Enhanced time management and organisational skills
Improved academic performance
One program graduate shared:
"At the start of Youth Opportunities, I wasn't very confident. I didn't like talking to new people and never liked putting my hand up in class. My grades weren't very good and I was uncertain about my career and future. I felt really stuck.
However, Youth Opportunities has completely transformed my outlook. I've learnt that confidence isn't something you're born with, it's something that you can build over time with the right support and mindset. Youth Opportunities has shown me that personal growth is always possible. Just because you are who you are now doesn't mean you can't change it for the better."
